Magpie and Stump

I thought is was about time to do a little restaurant review on my blog, so I went ahead and started with my all-time favourite restaurant in Banff. The Magpie and Stump is well known for it's amazing nachos and the authentic decor. Also the sombrero that the bar staff drop on peoples heads as they walk by is hilarious. (It's attached to the string at the bar and the hat is by the entrance. If it lands on someone's head everyone has to yell ARIBA!)

If you couldn't already tell, the Magpie and Stump is a Mexican restaurant. Their menu is loaded with things like tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and lots of tequila! While I have had their nachos, and they are incredible, this time I went for the Chicken Quesadillas.

CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT THESE STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRIS?! Quite possibly my favourite drink of all time, and this place gets it spot on

Sorry, sidetracked by alcohol! The quesadillas were amazing! Topped with pico de gallo, the crispiest crust... I couldn't stop raving about how good it tasted through the entire meal.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you are a Banff local or a traveler. Their staff make you feel welcome, and they are so genuine. The atmosphere is relaxing and the vibe is just incredible.

Great food, amazing people, and a beautiful atmosphere. What more could you ask for?

How about another daiquiri?!
