Saying Goodbye to Lake Louise

It seems the time has come for me to say goodbye to one of my favourite places on earth. I've spent 10 months out here this year, and it's been one of the best years of my life. I have grown so much, seen so many things I wanted to see, have experiences that I never thought I would have.

Now that I'm sitting in the airport, I don't want to leave. I always get like this right before I do something big. My anxiety kicks up and tries to convince me that the easiest thing to do would be to not do the exciting and potentially life-changing thing. For a very long time that anxiety controlled me and prevented me from taking chances, prevented me from taking some really great opportunities.

So as much as I don't want to leave, I know I have bigger and better things waiting for me on the other side.

Lake Louise has been so good to me. Especially this time around. This year I have made new friends, I've opened up, I've become more sure of myself. More sure of what I want, and I've grown to be confident enough to go after what I want.

So here's to Lake Louise, to great friends, and to the next adventure!
